Will & Testament of Ira Schutt (1801-1874)

Know all men by these presents
that I, Ira Schutt, of Great
being of sound and disposing
mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament.
First, I hereby constitute and appoint Frank B Schutt and Isaac Spurr to be
executors of this my last will
directing my said executors to
pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and the legacies herein after given
out of my estate.
Second after the payment of my said debts and funeral
expenses I give to my wife Emma Schutt my spectacles
and
all my household
furniture and fifteen hundred dollars in money for her sole and separate use.
Third I give to Marcus M Schutt
the sum of one hundred and sixty five dollars heretofore given him the said
Marcus M
the sum of two hundred
and thirty five dollars which together with the aforesaid sum of one hundred
and sixty five dollars
will amount to the sum of
four hundred dollars the aforesaid sum of four hundred dollars having also
heretofore been given by me to each of my sons
Fourth I give to my son
Fifth the resident of my estate I give equally to all of
my children viz; Everett P. Schutt,
Frank B Schutt, Marcus M. Schutt,
Harriett A. Holmes, Martha A. Holmes, Delia M. Chalker,
Adaline E. Spurr an Ellen M
Dillon.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal and
publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of
the witnesses named below this
eighteenth day of September in the year one thousand eight hundred &
seventy four.

published and declared by the said Ira Schutt as and
for his last will and testament in presence of us who in his presence and in
the presence of each other and at his request, have subscribed our names as
witness hereto.
