David Joyce was born February 26, 1825 in Mount Washington, MA a son of John Dibble Joyce (1799-aft 1880) and Jerusha Jones (1801-bef 1880). David was a Great-great grandson of John Dibble (1702-1773) who arrived in Mount Washington, MA in the 1750's, then known as Taughkanic Mountain. of John Dibble (1702-1773) belongs to one of the oldest legible gravestones in the Old Burial Ground in Mount Washington.
